TERMS OF SERVICE
Please read over all of the terms before ordering
When you accept to work with me, by making your first payment you are in agreement with these terms of service.
You must be over the age of 18 to enter an agreement with me.
If I have any doubts about your age, I will ask for ID with proof of age i.e. passport, photographic driving licence. I reserve the right to decline service to anyone who is unable to provide these on request. If you prove you are over 18, please do not take my assessment of the situation personally.
It is to ensure I am being lawful.
Quotes do not hold or bind you to a commission slot agreement. They are just a price estimate based on options and character design. In order to produce an accurate quote, I MUST RECEIVE a clear 2-3 view original character reference sheet.
Please, always try and provide a specific reference for the suit as having lots of different resources can be confusing and it makes the process more streamlined.
All details must be listed clearly.
If you do not receive a quote from me, I'm afraid that means you have not been successful in acquiring a slot. You will receive a response to your quote form regardless of my decision after review. If successful, along with your quote, I will briefly inform you to the status of my work currently, estimate wait times, etc, and from there if you are happy with my terms, we can agree to proceed to invoicing.
If I have reason to believe you are not serious about your quote submission request e.g. questionable information, no reference link provided or failure to provide if requested, messages like, for example, "can you make a fursuit plz", will not be responded to and will be deleted immediately.
I will not recreate any previous costume or emulate another artists style. I would like to hope you are commissioning me for my specific style. I am open to looking at suits by other makers purely for technical reference if a written request isn't clear.
Prices are subject to change between commission periods but any changes made to prices will not alter any previous agreed quotes if a deposit has been submitted.
I am only open for quotes when posted on my website/Twitter. You can look at my Price Guide to get a basic idea. The more intricate the design the higher the quote as it’ll take more materials and time to make your character come to life!
You understand you are ordering a handmade, one of a kind costume made by an artist. It may and can, contain imperfections, flaws and inconsistencies.
Your project must be accepted by me before the start of the ordering process. The best way to get accepted is to have clear concept artwork of your character and know exactly what you want.
I will ONLY answer quotes and commission requests that are submitted through my Quote Form- which is only available on the website when I'm open for commissions. I will try to answer any questions you have - you can send me an email to or complete the contact form on the website. I will also try and answer any questions on Twitter.
Changes can be made to the character up until work on your suit begins but I ask that you be 100% sure with all the main or specific aspects of the suit design before you proceed to the payment/invoicing stage. Some changes are small and easy to edit, such as adding eyelids /eyebrows, or changing a color without affecting the pattern of the body. Choosing to have a different character done, editing a current character with multiple new colors or markings, or requesting additional large parts, may incur an extra cost, which will be added to your existing invoice and prolong your time in queue.
GBP currency only. PayPal is the current preferred method of payment.
Please remember to select 'Pay for Goods and Services' when making a payment to Fix It Fursuits.
A 30% NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is required to confirm your place in the commission queue. NO EXCEPTIONS - If you decide to cancel during any point of the process, you will lose your deposit!
You must make the payment to confirm your commission spot. I will not hold or reserve a commission without payment.
You must also agree to pay the deposit within 14 days of receiving your invoice. This is to secure your slot in the queue and to show you are invested in the project and have the reserves to make payments. Failure to do so will result in your transaction being voided.
You can make payments of £100 minimum a month in a discussed payment plan that both parties agree on. Payment plans do not account for the required 30% deposit and only reflects the remaining 70% of the total.
If you are paying off via payment plan - details and fur ordering can proceed after at least 50% of the suit has been paid for including deposit.
NO physical work is started on your suit until the suit is 80-90% paid off, including deposit.
For smaller commissions (such as just hand-paws or tails) a payment is required in full before work can be started due to the cost of ordering materials. No refund options are available for fursuit parts.
All agreed quoted prices on fursuits and parts commissions DO NOT include shipping costs.
If your suit is being worked on and you begin to miss payments when your suit is nearing completion, your suit will be put on hold for 30 days until you are caught up on payments. At the end of the 30 day period the situation will be reviewed and the commission might be cancelled. If the project is cancelled you will lose the 30% deposit plus the cost of any materials used.
If you refuse to pay any outstanding balance on your invoice, your suit will remain in my possession until the balance is paid. If there is still a refusal of payment within 30 days of the suit being completed, your commission will be dropped and I will use my authority to make decisions on the project from there on out - including selling the suit on with minor alterations as an auction piece.
Refunds are not available for the 30% deposit, regardless of circumstance.
This is NON-NEGOTIABLE.
After the commission is completed there is no refund option. If there has been a huge error on my part, I will of course try and fix your suit with no charge. If I see that the complaint holds no merit after physical inspection and reviewing our correspondence for specifications - no refund will be given.
You may cancel your commission up to the point where construction has begun. You will be refunded the full amount minus the 30% non-refundable deposit of the commission total and any materials bought (receipts will be provided as proof of purchase). The rest of your payment(s) will be refunded to you in full.
If the commission is cancelled during construction the refund will vary on how much materials were used and how much time was invested. I hold the right to refuse and refund in full minus deposit, at my own choice.
Work in Progress
I do not share work in progress pictures of commission suits unless I have permission from the client.
For my business, it would be beneficial to share progress pictures but if you or I have any concerns we can make alternative arrangements in posting progress pictures.
Before construction, I will email you for fur approval and review fur and other materials before purchasing. Common colours such as black, white, and elementary colours will not need approval. Please keep in mind not all fur and fabric colours are available and I will try my best to match.
I do not take hard deadlines for projects. I cannot guarantee an absolute completion date or deadline. I can give a completion estimate.
The characters I work on vary in complexity and I would rather make sure each fursuit got the time and attention that each customer deserves. Situations can arise, people can become ill, and machines can break or malfunction. If there are any major changes to my status you will be informed as soon as possible.
I can keep you updated for my estimated construction time, but I do not contractually guarantee or commit to one.
Queue wait times can vary, depending on the complexity of the character.
If you fail to make certain payments or provide items I request this can also cause delays in the construction of your costume.
UK/Mainland shipping will be through Royal Mail (Primary) or Parcelforce (Used for expedited shipping).
International shipping will be through Parcelforce. This can arrive from 1 week to 3 weeks. This varies on your country’s customs regulations.
Any sort of expedite service will be an additional cost paid by the commissioner will be discussed at time of completion. If you have returned the costume for any reason (such as repairs) you are responsible for the return shipping.
Your shipping cost will be calculated before shipping and failure to provide payment will result in the costume being held by me until shipping is paid for. I will not mark a parcel as a gift or undercharge my items for international shipping. This is illegal and will not be tolerated.
Any initial issues I am at fault with, when first receiving the costume I will gladly fix immediately. Please keep me in the loop. I want to help you! Feel free to email/DM me with any concerns.
Wear and tear is normal for any type of clothing but strenuous activity can shorten the lifespan of your suit. For small repairs, you can arrange to meet me at a convention/local meet and with plenty prior notice I can sew small rips or glue loose pieces. Please be realistic - I can't repair a bodysuit at a pub and I don't want to be asked if I can hot-glue back a claw 10 minutes before arrival!
Large repairs/ modifications to suits made by me will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and will depend on how much strain your suit has been put under. You cover return shipping. Most details will be discussed via email including the cost of repair.
Any alterations to your costume that was not by me will void all future repairs.
Please make sure they are CLEAN before any sort of repairing. If there is any unpleasant odours, old stains/soiled parts or if it is in extreme disrepair it will be sent back to you immediately and I will not work on your costume again. Period.
For bodysuits and 3/4 leggings, a properly made *Duct Taped Dummy (DTD) is vital for me to ensure your fursuit's custom fit. Please keep in mind I do make my handpaws a universal size to best be proportional to the costume, but there are a couple of types to choose from. I am not responsible for poor sizing if you provide a poor quality DTD or incorrect measurements.
I ask that you do not attempt to make your DTD until 1-3 months before your slot comes up - our bodies can change quite a lot in a few months so for the most accurate representation please wait until I ask for it. If you send a DTD long before work is due to start on your suit, I cannot guarantee a good fit or you may have to do the DTD again in it's entirety.
*For more information on DTD’s please visit:
Credit: Mischief Makers
I will not provide assistance in making DTDs if I am at a convention or I am local to you. If you are unsure at any time about making your DTD, please get in touch with me so I can give you more guidance.
I ask all customers to tape back up all seams completely on their duct tape dummies before shipping them to me. Any DTD received without the seams taped, or not taped to my satisfaction, will receive a £20 surcharge added to their invoice. If the dummy is shoddy, rushed or improper materials have been used, I will refuse to use the dummy and will ask that it is made again.
Other measurements required are: head circumference, forehead to chin, foot size and for armsleeves, a measuring guide will be emailed to you.
You are aware that by wearing a giant animal costume that your vision will be impaired, you will get warm, your dexterity will be low and your feet will be in giant fuzzy slippers; all for fun. I am not responsible for any stumbling, falling, tripping and overheating that may happen while in costume. You wear it at your own risk.
There are pets on the premises at Fix-It Fursuits and they are of the adorable feline variety. While the best effort is made to not allow any contact between your fursuit and the pets, there is not a guarantee they will be allergen free.
